4. Data Storage

If you use Finance Quest without an account, your learning progress is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to our servers. If you create an account and sign in, your progress is synced to our database (hosted on Supabase) so it is available across your devices; you can delete it at any time from your account settings. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not stored on our servers.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services (subprocessors) to operate Finance Quest:

Anthropic and OpenAI: Power our AI coaching features. Questions you ask the AI coach are sent to these providers for processing.
Supabase: Provides authentication and the database that stores your account and synced learning progress.
Stripe: Processes subscription payments. Your card details are handled by Stripe, not by us.
Vercel: Hosts our platform and provides traffic analytics.
PostHog: Product analytics (used only with your consent).
Sentry: Error and performance monitoring to keep the platform reliable.

Clear your local learning progress data at any time through your browser settings
Choose not to use AI coaching features

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies so the platform functions (for example, keeping you signed in). With your consent we also use PostHog analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can accept or decline analytics in the cookie banner.

8. Children's Privacy

Finance Quest is designed for users of all ages interested in learning about personal finance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
